Finally a relevant remastering

In the wake of the remasters, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is one of the few really relevant to the market. Players who migrated from Xbox 360 to the PlayStation 4, for example, will have the opportunity to experience the three great adventures of Nathan Drake in a single package.

If you do not come to know a the most important exclusive series of the PlayStation brand, here’s your chance to dig into Uncharted, an action game in the third person starring Nathan Drake a relic hunter. The plots of the three titles revolve around real treasures, including stories of Francis Drake and Marco Polo.

Although the first game of the franchise presents a less engaging and mechanical history who have aged relatively evil, there is no denying that Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception remain true works of art. That’s because the second game promotes a whopping jump of narrative quality, while the third episode can evolve very well the relationship of the characters.

Assessing chronologically, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was the game that took advantage better visual changes because it is a product released in the distant year of 2007. Although the first episode not appearing to be a game of the new generation of consoles, the visual treatment received a beautiful, with new layers of textures and effects more realistic lighting.

The modeling of the characters were slightly improved, while scenes of cuts are basically the same, just running on high resolution. In addition to the graphical improvements, Drake’s Fortune received adjustments in the combat mechanics, as more precise targeting system and rewarding, thereby facilitating the headshots.

On the other hand, the aesthetic changes Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted: Drake’s Deception is not so surprising because both aged very well and remain current. Incidentally, the graphic quality of the two games comes to overcome some recent titles originally released for the PlayStation 4.

As far as Among Thieves Drake’s Decepction have been enhanced with new gameplay mechanics, as a system of more accurate coverage – but still far from perfect – and improvements in movement (the leap will lead to fewer deaths now). Remember that the remastered compilation, produced by Bluepoint studio in partnership with Naughty Dog, runs on smooth 1080p and 60 fps, which ensures an absurd fluidity to the gameplay.

Finally, the audio of the game has also been enhanced with more striking effects, and the voice work in Brazilian Portuguese. It is worth noting that all three titles in the compilation have voices in our language. While dubbing Nathan Drake is questionable, because the tone of voice did not match the hero’s personality, the location in general was well made.

Small slips

Even though the collection is technically neat, there was some occasional slips in relation to the gameplay. The cover system is still inaccurate, as well as certain actions of the character, which often do not match the player’s level.

In addition, there are some bugs on Drake Drive, which can be frustrating enough, especially in unprecedented mode “Brutal” – the most difficult of all – that requires absolute precision in the commands. The lack of multiplayer modes for Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception also felt, as both could significantly extend the longevity of remastering.

Conclusion

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a must game for owners of PlayStation 4 who have not enjoyed the series. Even without the excellent multiplayer modes of the last two games, the trilogy starring the hero Nathan Drake is graphically flawless. For veterans, there is nothing new addition to the costly mode “Brutal”, which can require an atypical level of skill in control
