Chrome now lets you mute noisy tabs – Digital Journal

 Last year Google announced that its browser would identify the tabs that were sound, but now the Chrome goes beyond and to disable the sound individually.
 

The news appeared in version 46, as noted by the Verge. But it was already being tested since the middle of the year. To silence a tab, clicking on this with the right mouse button and choose the appropriate option.

Google was not the only one thinking about it. In July, Mozilla reported that the upcoming Firefox versions also allow mute the sound of noisy tabs
