Major update of Windows 10 should be released in November – Digital Journal

 
  
 Microsoft is preparing a major upgrade to Windows 10 that will be released in November. Called “Autumn Update”, the update will bring several improvements, including fixes to the Edge browser, innovations in the system reset and integration with Skype.

According to PCMag, the autumn update, also called “Threshold 2″, can be downloaded via Windows Update and will have no prerequisite, ie even if the version of Windows 10 launched on July 29 with no installed update, your computer may be updated.

After installing the update, the operating system version will be 1115 (11 because November and 15 because of 2015) and whenever the Windows 10 suffer a reset, the system will return to this release, and not to the released in July.

The main change that the alleged update will bring is a new messaging system with Skype, which will be integrated into the operating system. Rumors also point out that the update will come with improvements in the Start Menu and more functions for Cortana voice assistant, which has not won a version in Portuguese.

The update will also bring corrections to your browser Microsoft Edge, you will not receive support for extensions. According to PC Mag, the official browser of Windows 10 only accept extensions in the next major system update, which should happen in early 2016.

Microsoft has not yet officially commented on the presence of the update and a official release date of the update.

Windows 10 was released in July this year and Microsoft is putting the operating system in its entire line of new products. The new version of the OS is already installed on 110 million devices worldwide (even without the consent of some users)
