Microsoft seems to have changed the presentation strategy of the sales figures of its game console, inter alia, Xbox One.

As usual so far, the brand, like other companies, presented the quarterly console sales figures. The strategy seems to have changed and the Redmond brand not to mention (at least directly) sales figures.

It was last week that Microsoft announced financial results for the quarter at home. Contrary to usual, Microsoft did not speak in numbers.

In response to Game Informer, the Redmond brand explained that he had stopped using the number of consoles shipped to stores as the number of actual sales the console.

The reason for this decision making may have to do (as mentioned to Game Informer) with the actual number of sales, as we know, is not the number of consoles shipped to retailers. Some are never sold.

We do not know for sure what Microsoft’s strategy. What we know is that the main competitor of Xbox – PlayStation – is currently the best-selling console worldwide. Is this a way for Microsoft to not influence (negatively) console sales, given that we are reaching a selling season (Christmas)

However, in the future, in one form or another, the mark may reveal the number of actual sales of the box. For now we curiosity.
