Here’s Gear S2, the new Samsung smart watch, now on sale – EN Journal

It looks like a smartwatch, but wants to be more than it is. Samsung launched the Gear S2 to fight for the top spots of an increasingly mature market. The operating system Tizen promises to meet the needs of consumers without losing the habits of a traditional clock

The market for smart watches are increasingly mature and users no longer impress with a new model: it must be innovative

The Samsung wants to compete for market leadership, joining the fight between. Apple and Google, and for that bet strong in Gear S2, which now hit the market with its own operating system (Tizen), as does the competition.

E the first major advantage of the new model is the recovery of the ‘old’ clock in the round format (with an Amoled screen of 1.2 inches) and crown that lets you browse the shortcuts to the various features.

The South Korean giant greatly facilitated the interface with this crown, ‘reinforced’ with two buttons which also allow navigation between functions.

Among the applications available, jump to view the related health, such as sensors to monitor heart rate and count the steps taken or the time of a race.

It is a smartwatch that gives you music (if you have Bluetooth headphones), you can store in 4GB Memory internal, among other features

The Tizen allows enjoy the apps designed for Android (4.4 or higher), but not the runs made for iOS

For now, the Gear S2 costs between 350 euros and 380 if you want to opt for the version ‘Classic’, with bracelets on skin.
