New lease-backed regime for housing in force … – Digital Journal


The new scheme applies to dwellings owned by entities of the direct or indirect administration of the State, local authorities or business of the public sector entities, with rents calculated on the basis of household income tenants.

Under the law, single parents or incorporates minors, disabled people, the elderly and victims of domestic violence cases can be preferred in the allocation of houses supported income.

The allocation of the houses will be made through contest by rating by lot or by registration.

The lease is supported concluded for a term of 10 years and may be renewed automatically and successively every two years.

In last three years of the contract term, the landlord may oppose the renewal if the tenant pay rent equal to or greater than the maximum expected income and this corresponds to an effort rate equal to or less than 15% of the monthly household income .
