The February data show that the Portuguese consumed more fuel than the same period in 2014. The annual increase of 4.4 percent was mainly supported by diesel. Gasoline also recorded an increase in consumption, but much more moderate.
The data from the National Authority for the Fuel Market (TNGC), the regulator that ‘replaced’ the old EGREP showed an increase in fuel consumption in February compared to the same month 2014
The annual rise of 4.4 percent -. or more 865 562 tons of fuel – was supported, in most cases, by increased fuel consumption.
This fuel ‘climbed’ 5.5 percent compared to February 2014. There were over 343 000 tonnes, well above the 77 000 tonnes ‘the most’ registered in gasoline (0 , 9 percent), compared to the same month last year.
