Windows (Phone) 10 will print without using controllers – EN Journal

Microsoft is preparing to add a new feature in Windows 10 Mobile (version for smartphones). This is to provide apparatus for use printers without resorting to traditional drivers (drivers).

The arrival of Windows 10, both the mobile version and the desktop version, is getting closer to reaching the market. You can now use the preview versions, however, without some features, like this, for example.

The rumor about this new feature, came through a Microsoft job offer, published on its official site for this purpose. We read in the offer published by the brand (in English).

“Our team is part of Operating System Group owning all aspects of printing for Windows. We are Responsible for providing APIs for applications, interfaces driver for printers and user experiences for end-users and administrators. We use large number of technologies to enable scenarios on Windows Mobile, Windows Desktop and Windows Server. For example, we recently Introduced printing support to Windows Mobile via the new driverless protocol for Windows 10. “

Translating to Portuguese, you can read the last line: “For example, recently introduced printing support for Windows Mobile through a new protocol without drivers for Windows 10.”

As mentioned earlier, this feature is not yet available in any of the trial versions (preview) nor his statement was made official by Microsoft. But given the speed with which the news related to Windows 10 appear, it does not take long to emerge.
