Meo launches zapping audio to help blind - Daily News - Lisbon

service pay television PT, Meo launched the Audio Mix, which helps the visually impaired to take advantage of television. A voice, prerecorded, indicates every action triggered the Meo command.

Customers with limitations in terms of vision and subscriber television service pay PT, Meo, can, from now on, use the Audio Mix that allows them to take better advantage of television. A prerecorded voice indicates actions done in Meo command such as channel changes, volume changes and scheduling recordings.

“Being the TV a window to the world, we want to bring this world Meo people who have this kind of handicaps and that one way or another can not have that experience,” explained Meo source directly involved in the new service process.

To use the new service, the customer must go to the Settings area in the Meo service menu, select the Services option and then choose Audio Mix.

Audio Mix, available free of charge to all customers with MeoBox Meo IPTV DVR, was developed in partnership with PT Foundation and the Association of Blind and Partially Sighted Portugal [ACAPO].
