The legionella outbreak a month ago reached the area of Vila Franca de Xira and caused ten deaths and more than 300 patients has made proof institutions, professionals and the national health authority, advances the agency Lusa, quoted by Digital Journal.
Detected on 7 November, the outbreak originated in a company’s cooling tower fertilizer Portugal, as confirmed on 21 November by the authorities.
For now, the hypothesis of an environmental crime remains open, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
