The Euroresinas company issued a statement last night which confirms that legionella colonies were detected at its plant in Sines.
The company Sonae group said that “guided the company to its business by best practices within the Health and Safety at Work, in the course of routine analyzes the cooling tower, was detected the existence of legionella.” The Euroresinas reaffirmed that “threw all containment measures and necessary preventive, immediately suspending the operation of the cooling tower, and consequently the closure of the entire manufacturing activity, as a preventive measure.” The company adds that “were contacted all relevant stakeholders, in particular the Civil Protection, the delegation of local health and adjoining and adjacent businesses to Euroresinas”.
