India successfully tested today the largest rocket that developed to
now capable of carrying four tons and a module for
astronauts, opening the door to the first manned trip to India
Space, officials said.
The rocket, 630 tons and
42.4 meters in length, began his flight at 09:30 (04:00 in
Lisbon) in the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in the state of
Andhra Pradesh (south).

The local television showed pictures
