GIFs begin to appear on Facebook – Digital Journal

Quietly, Facebook began releasing the native display GIFs on Facebook. Until then, you could publish the URL of a GIF, however, to see the image in operation, it was necessary to click on this and be redirected to the original site.
 

Now, to publish the URL of a GIF, simply click the ‘GIF’ button that appears on this to start playing in loop.

The use is not yet available to everyone, however, is expected to be made available gradually
