Pokemon Go – Japanese launch postponed due to servers – Eurogamer.pt

Pokémon GO is already a huge success in North America and several European countries but surprising as it is, the iOS application and Android is not yet available in Japan.

According to Niantic, responsible for Pokemon Go, this is related to the ability of the Japanese servers, which currently do not have the capacity to deal with the huge expected amount of Nipponese players.

“at the moment the ability of servers in Japan is not powerful enough, “said John Hanke from Niantic to Forbes. “We are working hard with our engineers in Japan so that servers can meet the requirements once it becomes available.”

Recently, the Pokémon Go users faced a number of difficulties of access due to launch in 26 countries creating the inability to connect to the servers.

Niantic expects to release Pokémon go in Japan at the end of July and we are eager to hear the bizarre and caricatured stories that are sure to arise.
