The 1st phase of the national competition for access to public higher education, whose applications pluck this Thursday, has a total of 50,688 seats in universities and polytechnics

Public universities and polytechnics offer 50,688, of which 28,310 places in universities and 22,378 in polytechnics. The climb is not very significant but has the meaning of resuming a growth cycle that had been interrupted in recent years of austerity, that were felt also in the institutions of higher education.

In total, over 133 possibilities for students that existed in 2015. in the 1st phase of access, whose applications already pluck Wednesday, there are 660 deals placed through local competitions.

Although small, the difference turns out to be associated – as has been tradition in recent years – the most significant adjustment in offers, since this year the universities and polytechnics suppressed suppressed 959 places that had put out to tender in 2015 but they opened 1072 new.

The new courses

In the list of the most desired areas here are the Business Sciences, with 7557 vacancies (14.7%) and Health with 6716 (13.1%).
