Volvo XC90: Great personality – Record

The concepts SUV and crossover can have many points in common and are sometimes difficult to distinguish, but are also at the forefront of choices for European consumers. And brands knowledgeable about these preferences and therefore not surprise the constant releases. Take the case of Volvo, with the new XC90. The model of the Swedish brand came to the domestic market in mid-2015 on the list of candidates for ‘Crossover of the Year 2016′ and has sufficient arguments to make a stand in a category increasingly fierce.

It is true that the position ‘premium ‘makes the XC90 a car only within the reach of some grants – the entry in the range can cost € 60,000 – but what is at issue is the interpretation of what can be an SUV. And this model, which opens platform to be used by Volvo in future cars, takes this mission without any reservations.

Are pose great personality, lines that suggest strength and robustness, all complemented by technology included. The version that we were able to drive over a few days served up for new engine (Drive-E) diesel with 2.0 liters and 225 horsepower, and accompanied by 8-speed automatic transmission and transmission to four wheels. The amounts were something above the announced 5.8 liters for the combined cycle, but seemed perfectly logical for what was at stake. After all, the XC90 weighs more than two tons and this is a detail to keep in mind. The interior well suited to logic ‘premium’ and the very safety equipment and assistance to the driver were evident strengths
