Ana Lourenço. Changes by CIO will rise in output – iOnline

The journalist Ana Lourenço resigned to the direction of SIC. The reasons for the departure, announced a week ago, may be related to the changes introduced by Alcides Vieira, chief information officer of Carnaxide station.

In a letter sent last week, Ana Lourenço “announced its decision to leave,” said an official source of the SIC. “The direction information of SIC”, currently in charge of Alcides Vieira, “accepted the resignation, while respecting their decision.” The Carnaxide station “thanks Ana Lourenço all the dedication and work, stressing its special contribution to the success of SIC Notícias, “said the same statement issued by the channel, without pointing any reasons for the sudden departure of the journalist – and what happens just a day after Pedro_Norton also CEO of Impresa also announce it to his departure from the company, effect from March.

The SIC does not advance explanations for the decision to Ana Lourenço. But hi know for several months that the journalist expressed dissatisfaction with the powers had been assigned and to the time that had been presented by the current direction of Carnaxide channel information.

The current SIC’s information director is, moreover, directly linked to this Decision – will have been the very Alcides Vieira one of the reasons why, in October last year, the journalist had moved away from the cameras for a few weeks.

After the departure of Antonio Jose Teixeira from office, Alcides Vieira was chosen by the direction of the television station. Until then, Ana Lourenço had been, for years, the face of the nights of information of SIC Notícias, being 13 years ahead of “Night Edition”.

After assuring the ten o’clock news, the journalist came to be in direct from nine in the evening, leaving – his time he had been assured by Mario Crespo until March 2014, when the journalist left station for lack of contract renewal and for having, however, the request for retirement.

Currently, however, the journalist – who in his career has gone by TSF and by TVI – the news had come ten o’clock, with preference given to other station’s journalists to drive the nine o’clock news

shaken in Impresa Ordered a week ago, just yesterday the news of Ana Lourenço resignation was confirmed by SIC -. a way that matches the changes Impresa crosses at the highest level

On Monday, Peter Norton, outgoing CEO, announced that after a “long period of maturation,” decided that this would be the time to “close a cycle” that took longer than 20 years.

To the direction of the media group, Francisco Pinto Balsemão suggested his son Pedro Francisco Pinto Balsemão. The name was approved unanimously by the board of directors and the testimony of transfer will be made progressively until March.

The Peter Norton output caused surprise. The manager was named as the most likely successor of Balsemão at the head of one of the largest Portuguese media groups. Norton was three years ago in the functions – in 2012 he was chosen to ensure the continuity of the group when Balsemão decided to go into the background and become as company chairman who founded
