Windows 10 was tested by nearly 40,000 Microsoft employees before its launch – Tudocelular.com

It is common for large software companies put their employees to test their new products in order to detect bugs in the system and flaws in the interaction interface with users. Although Microsoft has implemented with great success, the Insider program so that users around the world could test the Windows 10 during the development process, it is no wonder that the company’s own employees also did. But now we have some curious details about this period of internal testing, disclosed by the company.

The new desktop OS from Redmond was used within the company to test how the operating system working in real time. The company had its own inner rings to Windows 10, and received the test builds before they were even sent to the quick ring to Insiders. Interestingly, it was a lot of people:. Nearly 40,000 Microsoft employees (about 40% of its staff) were running the new operating system on their computers to diagnose errors and help improve their performance

Before the launch of the product had 38,000 users, about 40 percent of employees internally running Windows 10 [...]

Early adoption community is closely linked to a forum of moderate domestic Community support, where users could report problems and seek assistance from other users. Microsoft IT was able to gain an early look, watching the topics to identify problems and how they arose.

While this recent case study documents the number of Windows 10 users within Microsoft before being released to the public, it also shows the current number of employees using the new operating system. Over 95% of Microsoft employees are using Windows 10 as your primary operating system. The company only took about 10 weeks to transition over 120,000 employees to the new Windows.

Perhaps you think that this is something trivial, but Windows 7 system that is even more popular, It took a year to reach 80% of the Redmond team personnel. The report on the internal deployment of Windows 10 says that this was possible using your new upgrade system “in situ” to upgrade the system and made the transition easier than previous iterations of Windows.

Now, Microsoft intends to be more aggressive from 2016. As reported earlier this month, the company plans to send more compilations for members of the ring fast, which means faster updates and more features will come to users. However, this also means that the builds will not be tested extensively among its employees before being sent to the Insiders, because Microsoft will give those users the same compilations that employees receive.
