Founder of bitcoin was denounced … and two hours later had a house full of police – Daily News – Lisbon

The house of one of the alleged creators of bitcoin was searched by police on Wednesday. Craig Steven Wright was accused of being Satoshi Nakamoto, a founder of bitcoin virtual currency by two US publications. Hours later had his house searched by Australian police in Sydney.

According to the Wall Street Journal, searches are being carried out by the tax administration services, following an investigation into the business and tax status of Steven Wright . Police did not say whether the Australian 45 will be arrested or charged with anything, nor confirmed his connection with the invention of bitcoin.

Wired and Gizmodo , the two publications claiming that Steven Wright is the second founder of bitcoin, based on the revelation in separate investigations. Refer to electronic records and emails exchanged between the man and the Australian tax authorities. Steven Wright would be like the second inventor of bitcoin, along with Dave Kleiman, who died in 2013.

The bitcoin, a virtual currency that allows transactions online no records, has revolutionized the digital world, and so far the identity of its creators was unknown.

Steven Wright is an entrepreneur, executive director of a company based in Australia, DeMorgan Ltd., which is described as LinkedIn being “focused on alternative currency, banking systems of the next generation and educational products and reputation with a great interest in security.”

The Australian still had another company related to e-learning and online payments, Hotwire Preemptive Intelligence Pty Ltd, but is now being managed by McGrathNicol, a firm that manages companies in insolvency.
