Finally, who can access the free of charge onedrive had to give up 10 of the 15 GB available. The excuse given by Microsoft for this reduction was that users were abusing the service and performing backup everything kind of data, resulting in cases with accounts with more than 75 TB busy.

Of course this change just leaving a lot of angry users. The consequence is that there were more than 72,000 votes in the company blog that the free space to continue with the 15GB before. Microsoft finally responded to the wide appeal of users onedrive claiming he was not punishing them, but just to make sure the service continues to function satisfactorily. But there is good news: the company created a page where you can appeal by its 15 GB of data so that they are not reduced soon

By clicking on the above link, you are redirected to a temporary page that allows you to request a free stay in the old plan onedrive. In January Microsoft will begin to reduce the space available to all users of onedrive. If you book your account in the cited page, continue with the same 15 GB before and also the additional 15 GB if you use the automatic upload feature for pictures taken with the camera on your Windows Phone (Camera Roll).

The company makes it clear that it is possible to request to continue with the 15 GB (plus 15 GB extra) by the end of January. Those who create an account on onedrive after this date should be attached to the basic plan with only 5 GB. This is not the solutions that everyone expected, but it is still some progress.
