EA admits the lack of depth of Star Wars: Battlefront – IGN Portugal

Star Wars: Battlefront was received with mixed feelings by the gaming community. The basis of the gameplay is fun and varied, but the first-person shooter from Electronic Arts did not get rid of criticism.

On one side are those who complain about the absence of a campaign or other single- mode player replacing it, on the other, are the players ever of its kind, the so-called “hardcore gamers” of the FPS.

Speaking at the NASDAQ Investor Conference here in Europe, the CFO EA, Blake Jorgense , admitted that lack depth to the game, and the main reason for this had to do with the deliberate decision to opt for a more affordable design, so that the game could cover several generations of players.

“Star Wars:. Battlefront is a first-person shooter, but it’s only rated for adolescents was designed as an affordable product to a wide range of ages”

“So. , a kid of 8 years can play with his father on the couch, in the same way as a 20 teenager can play it and have fun. It’s more affordable. As the audience hardcore, may not have the depth that these players expect “
