Microsoft back to delay release of Surface Hub – SAPO Tek

The Surface Hub is a sort of large tablet, which is being developed in two versions: screen 55 and 84 inches. It integrates technology that the software giant now holds with the purchase of Perceptive Pixel in 2012 and is aimed at the business market. Each unit will cost between 7000 and the $ 20,000, but not for now

The first date set for the launch. – September this year – had already been withdrawn. Though a new date was advanced for the beginning of next year, but turned out to be also canceled. Portugal was on the list of 24 countries that should receive the new offer.

The concept at the base Surface Hub is the collaboration. Microsoft believes that the device can take the place of more traditional options, such as projectors, ensuring a more comprehensive range of features. It is a video conferencing system with Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, USB ports and 100 points sensitive multitouch

It is hoped now that the Surface Hub to be launched over the next three months. An unconfirmed information, advanced by ZDnet, also gives account of a price increase in two versions that will hit the stores. To confirm, the price goes up $ 2,000 in two versions. Those who already have pre-booked reservations will not see reflected the increase, says the same website.
