Nintendo and Sega team up to launch three exclusive games Sonic - Tecnologia.com.pt

sonic-lost-world1 The Sega , owns the rights to the character Sonic, and Nintendo have signed this Friday, 17, a partnership that will bring the famous porcupine until consoles 3DS and Wii U .

More than twenty years after its debut in several other consoles, the Sonic comes to appliances Nintendo with three titles exclusive . The first two have already been revealed by the Japanese company’s CEO, Satoru Iwata. “Sonic Lost World ” (pictured) will be the videogame pioneer (for 3DS and Wii U), but the details will not be known in June at the E3 game trade show.

The second title, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014 , this is a dispute in winter sports that pits the characters from Mario to Sonic and friends. Will be released only for the Nintendo Wii U. The third game will be presented in the coming months.

The partnership also provides for the adaptation of the hedgehog games console classic Game Gear for the portable Nintendo 3DS.

“Sonic the Hedgehog, had an amazing performance on Nintendo platforms and this exclusive partnership is a natural fit for the next evolution of games character” wrote the chief director of operations for Sega Jurgen Post, on the company blog.

Since June 1991, when it was created, the hedgehog Sonic has sold over 75 million copies in video games and titles for smartphones. This can be seen as a strategy to monetize the Nintendo Wii U console, which has been weak receptivity in the market.
