The Sega , owns the rights to the character Sonic, and Nintendo have signed this Friday, 17, a partnership that will bring the famous porcupine until consoles 3DS and Wii U .
More than twenty years after its debut in several other consoles, the Sonic comes to appliances Nintendo with three titles exclusive . “Sonic the Hedgehog, had an amazing performance on Nintendo platforms and this exclusive partnership is a natural fit for the next evolution of games character” wrote the chief director of operations for Sega Jurgen Post, on the company blog.
Since June 1991, when it was created, the hedgehog Sonic has sold over 75 million copies in video games and titles for smartphones. This can be seen as a strategy to monetize the Nintendo Wii U console, which has been weak receptivity in the market.
