New Ford Mustang can be driven by gamers in digital form - Techworld

The only real car arrives at dealerships in 2014, but it is a vehicle that can be piloted in the video game “Need for Speed ??Rivals”

The new Ford Mustang, introduced worldwide a few days ago, will hit the market only in 2014, but the digital version is available for the most daring drivers, fans of the video game “Need for Speed ??Rivals” from Electronic Arts. The game went on sale in versions for consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, plus a version of Origin for the PC

“We worked closely with the development team at EA, the game production, providing engineering data of the new Mustang many months prior to its world premiere,” said Mark Bentley, licensing manager of Ford products. “Template design by computer allowed developers to create a perfect representation of the new Mustang.”

use the Mustang in Need for Speed ??game has become a tradition since 2005. The car, the object of desire for thousands of drivers worldwide, has sold 9 million units in its 50 years of life and has been an integral part of numerous films and series, mentioned in songs and a pop culture icon.

Praised by critics around the world, “Need for Speed ??Rivals” allows players to participate as a street racer in illegal speed contests, or as a cop chasing cars. Each race has different challenges, rewards, cars and technology. In the new scoring system, players gain points for speed but can lose everything if caught.

The game also brings the option of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, available as car police chase. “In it, players can choose from five colors to give a custom look to your Mustang,” says Andrea Zuehlk, digital marketing manager at Ford. “Four of them were chosen from the top rated projects in the Mustang Customizer application, plus a special project created by Vaughn Gittin Jr., champion rider and founder of RTR” he adds.
