Google may make changes to the Android home screen – EXAME.com

São Paulo – Google might be considering making significant changes in the system’s home screen Android . The amendments should reach the list Apps and search bar, according to the site Android Police.

The most significant change would be in the list of installed applications. Google may leave the button on the bottom bar. The listing would be accessible from a gesture (a drag fingers from the bottom to the top of the screen). Thus, the list appear on the screen, accompanied by an animation taking focus wallpaper.

Please note that this change would come to Android “pure”. Because manufacturers can modify the system, it would be more noticeable on Nexus and smartphone companies that make few changes. Some, like LG, even uses the application list, preferring an approach similar to Apple, which leaves all installed apps with icons on the home screens.

A second change would be to abandon the Google search bar. She would turn a collapsed icon on the left side of the screen. In the end, work as a widget that can not be removed.

The changes are just rumors and should be viewed with suspicion. The expectation is that they are put into practice in the next few smartphones Nexus that must be submitted by Google by the end of this year
