According to the latest rumors, Samsung is planning a new program which will sell top smartphone range “recycled” with very attractive discounts.
The news was first published by Reuters, which said the manufacturer intends to raise the profits of the mobile sector and maximize its cost efficiency. To put this new program underway Samsung will use top range smartphone users who returned their smartphones to Samsung because they are part of contracts with smartphone update option. The new program should start in early 2017.
Once “recycled”, Samsung will return to market devices at a reduced price, but still do not have any information about percentage that will be cut from the original price. It was also not clarified what the exact process of “recycling”, but it is expected that the manufacturer has some standard procedures in action, such as changing batteries and external covers.
Not surprisingly the percentage of Samsung’s market is falling gradually, with the rapid growth of Chinese manufacturers such as Huawei, Lenovo, Oppo and Xiaomi.
