The National Republican Guard (GNR) made a seizure of 1,200 kilograms of Japanese clam in Barreiro. Bivalve – detected during a Coastal Control of military enforcement action Tile Source – have value estimated at EUR 7000. The clams, which were still alive, were returned to the wild.
An action GNR during this weekend, in the area of Barry, ended with the seizure of more than a ton of Japanese clam, valued at 7000 euros, according to that authority.
According to a statement issued by the competent authority, the seizure took place “during the inspection operation.”
The military’s Coastal control Tile Source found that bivalves, “which were being transported in a vehicle, not were accompanied compulsory registration document”.
So the Nipponese clams, which were still alive, returned the natural habitat.
