Close to one million pre-orders were made in the United States, on Friday, the day that Apple Watch models were available to order online. These figures refer only to US consumers, and Apple Watch is available online from 10th also in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan and the UK. On the 24th, the product comes to physical stores in these nine countries / territories. For now, there are no figures on pre-orders made there.

Apple has not publicly forward their numbers on pre-orders of the Watch, or the amount that is in storage and in their stores. The company has, however, encouraged those interested in their products to opt for online pre-orders and the recommendation appears to have worked. Apple Watch have been temporarily sold out in US territory, since the company is estimating that new pre-orders have response only from May or June, depending on the model.
