The PSP Oporto today announced the arrest of seven men suspected of trafficking cocaine and heroin, after 28 house searches that resulted in the seizure of three kilograms of drugs and 70 thousand euros.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Command PSP Port clarifies that the men, all living in this city are aged between 25 and 35 years and that the operation was carried out on Sunday,” essentially sensitive urban areas ” such as Nuno Pinheiro Torres neighborhoods, Pasteleira New Neighbourhood Old Pasteleira, Mouteira and Ramalde, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto and Maia.

The PSP makes it clear that this operation developed on Sunday is the result of an investigation started in 2014 and, according to data released on Friday, had already resulted in the arrest of eight drug trafficking suspects.
Today, the PSP shows that “three of the detainees were applied to coercive measure of preventive detention” and the other three “the measure of obligation to remain in the residence, subject to electronic surveillance.”
The remaining suspects were forced to presentations to the authorities.
According to one police force, these eight suspects, who were in possession of more than two pounds of narcotics and 24 thousand euros, were arrested in an operation that included the conducting 22 searches in the Porto Metropolitan Area, resulting in the seizure of more than a kilo of cocaine (enough for 11,070 individual doses), a kilo of heroin (11,885 doses) and hashish for 126 doses.
Police also learned a firearm, ammunition and a 32 pack of nerve gas.

The detainees are five men and three women aged between 24 and 49 years, added the PSP.
