Are you under 13? There is a Facebook for you – EN Journal

It’s called Scrapbook and Facebook is a project directed to children – who can not, of course, create an account on the social network. The tool is available initially for the Android and iOS platforms, in the US alone.

The social network Mark Zuckerberg for not investing. After acquiring other platforms and services, now it was time to create a tool that allows children under 13 surf the net.

This service will be managed by parents who, between them, will organize the content related to their children in the social network. The administration of the account will be divided between them, allowing the sharing of content between your friends.

This is not a new social network. The Scrapbook is a tool available for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) that enables the under 13 access to the network. So far it was not allowed.

The Scrapbook can bring great benefit to minors. Having regard to the management of the account by parents, this allows, when they reach the age of free access to the social network, can follow directions and organization of content that parents have left and browse thus more safely.
