Scientists have used human urine to charge mobile phone - News Journal (blog)

Scientists at the University of the West of England managed to charge the battery of a smartphone through the use of human urine.

According to “El Mundo Newspaper” scientists used to fuel biological cells fed human urine capable of producing enough power to charge the battery phones.

Ioannis Ieropoulos scientist who participated in the study, said: “This project aims to turn trash into something useful.” He adds that the “technology of fuel clula does exactly that.”
