Refer strike: delays and cancellations are expected this Friday 5th – TSF Online

In this period, that is, between 10 am and 4 o’clock in the afternoon, is held one in five trains.

The strike by workers of Refer, challenging the merger of the company with Estradas de Portugal (EP) should cause this Thursday disorders and deletions in the movement of train passengers and freight.

Speaking to Lusa, official source of Refer refused “to foresee the kind of impact” of the strike by employees, who are responsible for the opening of train paths, adding that there are only certain of the fulfillment of minimum services determined by the Economic and Social Council (ESC).

The Arbitral Tribunal define the minimum services the movement of one in four scheduled trains usually between 6:30 and 10:00 and between 16:30 and 20:00. The remainder are carried out only one in five planned, with the list of scheduled trains published in the CP page – Train Portugal.

An official source of CP said that the company and its employees are prepared to make all trains, excusing to make any predictions about the impact of the strike.
