Who wanted this Christmas using online gaming services from Microsoft, Xbox Live, and Sony’s PlayStation Network, to experience the new consoles of the brands that has been faced serious difficulties to be able to play. In the last two days, the services were down, in an apparent cyber attack. The Lizard group Squad, Squad or Lizard, claimed, however, the action.

Through Twitter, the Lizard Squad announced that hit the servers of both companies, flooding them with fake traffic through a DDoS distributed denial of service attacks (a common technique, already resorted movements as Anonymous ). The group had threatened last week that would attack the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

Since Wednesday, Christmas Eve, the group of hackers has published several tweets to promote action and increasing the number of his followers since the attack. The Lizard Squad will reset the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network services depending on the number of times that Twitter users express support for the attack and replicate the tweets of the group.

“If you do not followTheKingCrucifix, then the Xbox and the PSN will never be online during the rest of Christmas, “threatens the group one of its messages. In an attempt to check theFUCKCRUCIFIX account, in which the Lizard Squad puts his tweets , we found that this only opens partially.

Also on Twitter, Sony admitted that there was a problem with the PlayStation service but not confirmed that this is the result of a computer attack. The company claims that the service is back to normal, but the account of Sony on Twitter continue to emerge user complaints about the operation of the PlayStation Network service. This Friday, Sony stated that the case is being investigated by the company.

In turn, Xbox Live continues below. Like Sony, Microsoft acknowledged that some of its users were having difficulties in entering the system and was working to resolve the problems.
