Analysis: Nexus 4, Google is the most powerful smartphone to $ 1 ... - Digital Look

 Nexus 4

The Nexus 4 phone produced by LG in partnership with Google, has not come to Brazil for the amount that many would like. The unit, subsidized by the search giant in the United States can cost up to $ 300 in its simplest version, but arrived with single price of £ 1700.

However, the device high performance yet arrived costing less than other phones in the same category as the Galaxy S3, it was still the top of the line Samsung at the time. And now, with a reduction officer from $ 200 in price, falling to U.S. $ 1500, it established itself as the best option for those looking for a powerful Android device, and at the same time not too expensive. Your competitor ideal, as previously mentioned, would be the S3, but he has not seen a significant price reduction in official resellers.

The smartphone from LG has Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM running the latest version of Android “pure” (currently 4.2.2 Jelly B ean), receiving updates directly from Google, without intermediaries. As negative points, it has 16 GB of internal storage, no microSD card slot, and also has no connection to the 4G network in Brazil. The camera, while not brilliant is efficient, with a resolution of 8 MP rear and 1.3 MP in front.

Check out a comparison with other phones in the same price range:

Nokia Lumia 820 – £ 1400
The Lumia 820 is a good device for those seeking 4G connection, like the operating system Windows Phone 8, but do not want to shell out the R $ 2000 needed to purchase the 920, the top line of Nokia. However, in Question hardware, the unit is right behind the Nexus 4, in terms of hardware.

The device has a dual-core processor at a frequency of 1.5 GHz with 1 GB memory RAM, 8 GB of internal storage. The positive points there is the microSD card slot, and the aforementioned 4G connection. Nokia, however, has a tradition with good cameras, bringing the device resolution 8MP, but lacks technology PureView. Already the front camera is only VGA.

Motorola Razr HD – £ 1400
There are currently top of the line Motorola, the device is already on the market for a long time, and could benefit from tax reduction of Good Law to reach its current cost. In hardware, however, is also behind the Nexus 4, despit e having 4G connection.

Its dual-core processor with 1.5 GHz clock are considerably lower, while your RAM is only 1 GB, but has the advantage of having the same 16 GB of storage, but with expandable memory. The cameras are roughly equivalent, 8 MP rear and 1.3 in front. The Razr HD is also a bit outdated compared to the version of Android. Motorola recently released update to version 4.1 of the Google system.

Vu LG Optimus and Optimus 4X – U.S. $ 1400
The Nexus 4 would have the potential to compete directly with the Optimus G, the current top of the line LG in Brazil, but its price puts vying with other devices “less noble” as the Optimus Vu and Optimus 4X.

None of the three has 4G, however, while they all have quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, while the 4X and Vu have only 1 GB of RAM. One difference, however, is the OS version of the handsets. While the Nexus has the latest version (4.2.2 Jelly Bean), the other two still have the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The rear of the three cameras are 8 MP while the front are 1.3 megapixels. The Vu also has a differential count on a different screen, with proportions 3×4, which some may like and others do not.

Xperia SP – £ 1300
The candidate Sony has not come to market, but it should arrive soon, scheduled for June. The Xperia SP is one of the cheaper models to access the 4G network and Brazilian also has NFC. The Xperia SP has a 4.6 inch screen with HD resolution. The Snapdragon S4 processor is a dual-core processor with a clock rate of 1.7 GHz, runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), supported by 1 GB of RAM.

The camera of the device will have 8 megapixels while the unit will have 8 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos – £ 1100
closest that Samsung managed to get this comparison was with its dual-SIM smartphone, the Galaxy Grand Duos. The Galaxy S3 is much more expensive than the Nexus 4 resales in official since the handset has not had a significant cut in price, although this should not take to happen. This would balance the dispute fairly. The trend is that this position is also occupied by S4 Galaxy Mini so its price is confirmed by the Brazilian company, but for now this information does not exist.

The Grand Duos phone has Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has 5-inch screen and dual core processor at 1.2 GHz, 8-megapixel camera (rear) and 2 megapixel (front).
