Rosado António Borges points out that the idea of the application appeared in July, at a time when the information that were being spread by the media began to generate some “panic among the team,” as she told the programmer. “We are seven developers, some more than others hypochondriacs! But decided to think this could be tapped,” he told DN.

Taking advantage of the free time they were having some elements of the Waveweb team developed the application in two weeks. “The app was only on our cellphones. Was something for us,” said Antonio Borges Rosado. Explained that the first screen was the important numbers, as the number of cases, deaths, the most affected countries. After the team decided to add links to the news that were emerging about the virus and also a part of questions and answers, for example, the precautions, important contacts of the World Health Organization, among other information.

With the evolution of the Ebola virus, the team decided to share the application and put it in the App Store, or is available for iPhones. “Without any promotion, we had 1200 downloads,” stressed the developer, adding that people not only downloaded the application, such as “are even using it.” However, already approaching two thousand downloads.
