Miguel Macedo, who was speaking at the inauguration of the new Police station Canidelo, added that “this reorganization from the point of view of the device correspond to closures, certainly, but also correspond opening of new police facilities” .

Asked about the number of agents that will eventually be diverted from administrative activities to actions greater proximity to the population of the metropolitan area of ​​Porto and Lisbon, Miguel Macedo said that “on the whole, when the reorganization is complete, the device will be in Lisbon about 300 elements of the PSP.”

The construction of the new building, on land provided by the city, the result of a protocol signed between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the City of Gaia and PSP.
