Solve parking problems in urban areas is the proposal of the application that won this year, the Big Smart Cities, entrepreneurship competition and innovation promoted by Vodafone and Ericsson. The creators of Parqly receive now ten thousand euros, an incubation period in Vodafone Power Lab and even a trip to Stockholm to meet the thirst Ericsson and its innovation clusters.

In addition to Parqly, Big Smart Cities distinguished three other finalists with honorable mentions – Take my Dronie, Movtz and Ledviser. The first received the distinction “New Generation Vodafone” and is characterized by joining the selfies the applied technology of drones, allowing you to take photos and shoot movies from the air and Marketing concept “dronie” . The Movtz received honorable mention Ericsson Internet of Things and provides a technology that turns any electrical outlet in point of recharging electric vehicles. Finally, Ledviser was the choice of the public and it is a wearable device that allows riders to indicate in advance their intention to turn and catch, contributing to the reduction of accidents involving cyclists.
This it was the fourth time the Big Smart Cities took place with the aim of capturing technological ideas aimed at improving the daily lives of those who live, work or visit a city. Since 2013, this fourth edition was the one that registered the highest number of applications ever, and were chosen as the 20 finalists.
