The Ministry of Economy opened two applications totaling 2.6 million euros to reduce the spending power of the buildings of the state and other properties in the residential sector and services.

according to a statement of trust, released Sunday, the two applications are launched through the Energy Efficiency Fund (ESF), a financial instrument created in 2010 to finance measures provided for in the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency (NEEAPs), which covers citizens and businesses

(Notice 21 – Efficient public Administration in 2016) intended € 1.5 million for projects to be taken in buildings occupied by public authorities, which can range from replacement equipment with more efficient, to the placement of “control devices which optimize the conditions of energy use and consumption,” reads the PNAEE page.

most of these funds (one million euro) are intended to entities and local government offices, including companies in which the authorities “to exercise dominant influence.” In the remaining 500,000 euros available in this line for the state buildings, are included services of the regional administration and business sectors. The intention is to “reduce the consumption of the building of the State, contributing to the reduction of public spending,” the Ministry of Economy.

The PNAEE aims to achieve an energy efficiency level 30% in the agencies and government services by 2020. the project financing takes the form of non-repayable grant and reimbursement for application is 80% of eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of 80,000 euros.

As for the “Warning 20 – Efficient Buildings 2016″, “intended to optimize the use of solutions and power consumption in a sector that accounts for about 30% of total energy consumption in Portugal.” The Funds may finance the placement of efficient windows and lighting and thermal insulation in residential or business real estate. The financing of projects also takes the form of non-repayable grant and has a budget of 1.1 million euros.
