Strike of technical diagnostic of around 88% adherence – News Journal

In a statement, the National Union of Technicians Health emphasizes “understanding that has been expressed by users of the National Health Service”, given the reasons for the strike.

On the first day of the strike, Friday, union members indicated a national membership of 84%, while today, late morning, the data point to 88%.

Medical tests and other diagnostic tests and therapeutics are being affected by the strike, which may also have an impact on scheduled surgeries.

The Union also stated they have had “any contact from the Ministry of Health” that could “unlock the conflict installed” and thus, technical diagnostics and therapeutics will write to all parliamentary groups explaining the reasons that led to this strike, not discarding other actions of struggle, such as demonstrations or concentrations.

On the grounds of the stoppage, the Union notes that the need for review of the careers of professional diagnostic and therapy has been recognized by governments in the past 14 years without further crystallize the desired change.
