… and even have fresh water
It’s called eTree and is a project of an Israeli startup that consists of a tree with lots of technology. This “technological” tree that is now “planted” in Ramat Hanadiv Garden in Israel, has the ability to generate electrical energy (through solar panels that make instead of leaves), providing Internet access through wireless and even has water fresh (for people and animals).
The idea belongs to an Israeli startup and the aim was to create a self-sustaining tree, capable of generating energy that allowed charging smartphones, laptops, and other equipment.
This metal tree with seven solar panels, dubbed the eTree, can produce 1.4 kW per hour allowing recharge 35 laptops simultaneously
The eTree was imagined by Yoav Ben-Dov desinger and reportedly it took about 18 months to move from paper to an actual project.
In addition to the shade and generate energy (which can also be harnessed for the lighting system), the eTree also offers internet access, through a wifi network, and also has a cooling water

The eTree cost $ 100,000 (about 79 thousand euros.) – A high value, especially if it is thought to be “planted” in undeveloped countries
