Algarve will have 23 spaces with digital public services – The Associated Press

The Algarve is set to have, starting July 23 Venues Citizen, where public services are provided digitally, with the assistance of an employee. The Government signs protocol on Saturday with nine municipalities of the region.


                 

                      According to a note sent to the editorial office by the Deputy Minister and Regional Development, Miguel Poiares Maduro, “until the end of July into operation in Monchique, the first Citizen Space,” joining the project pilot who had already been installed in Portimão.

The remaining 22 new spaces Citizens begin to be inaugurated in November, it is expected that everyone will be installed by July next year. Apart from Monchique and Portimão, the protolocos that will be signed at 10am on Saturday, still cover Alcoutim, Castro Marim, Faro, Lagoa, Lagos, Tavira and Vila do Bispo.

The opening of these services falls on the reorganization of state services that, as reported PUBLIC strategy will be debated next Wednesday, July 9, at the Council of Territorial Concertão. This meeting should leave the final version of the plan, also approve the Council of Ministers.

In addition to the spaces of the Citizen, where they are provided a set of public services digitally and with the assistance of an employee (which may be the State or third parties, such as local councils or CTT), the strategy includes the creation of the state charges, an expansion of the existing Citizen Shops.

In addition to these “condos” where will be installed more state services but also local authorities and even private spaces will be created in 1000 Citizen in the country and will also be extended to nationwide projects in Portugal Door-to-Door (transport request already in testing three counties in the Middle Tagus) and Vans Citizen (public mobile services with a pilot project underway in Palmela).

The plan covers about 2,000 public services, such as the Institute of Finance and Registries and Notaries, who currently represent an expense of € 800 million per year for the state, mostly with the payment of rent.

The intention is that, even during the summer, starting the strategy as a whole, in two sets of counties, although the government has not yet decided on which.
