A team of researchers from the University of Military Technology Warsaw, Poland, has recently created a new technology that will enable drivers to detect excess alcohol without stopping the vehicle for performing the test.
This new technology consists of a laser , which works through a system of mirrors and rays light, which allows you to check if the driver is drunk by detection of vapors of alcohol released by the body.
To detect the level of alcohol the driver, simply just direct the laser to the car in question and, through a detector, you can detect the amount of alcohol present in the blood, even if it is at very low concentrations.
The main advantage of this system is that it works even with the car in motion , which allows to avoid escape attempts by drivers to avoid being tested.
Researchers are still improve the system, trying to eliminate factors that may distort this system.
It is not known when it will start being used in the market but if you think of drinking alcohol and driving, we strongly advise you to think twice.
