IFA 2016: Acer unveils first notebook with curved screen! – Tech & Net

 
 
 
 

The Acer arrived at IFA 2016 in full force with the presentation of two new laptops that are pioneers in two distinct categories. The Predator 21 X was presented as the perfect machine for gamers bringing the first curved screen for portable and Swift 7 which is the world’s thinnest laptop with only 9,98mm thick.

the Predator 21 x is undoubtedly the new flagship in the line gaming the manufacturer with a curved IPS screen 21-inch (2560 x 1080), Intel Core of 7th generation, two Nvidia graphics cards GeForce GTX 1080 SLI ( scalable link interface ) that offer excellent graphics experience and guarantee support for virtual reality.

This new notebook comes also equipped with technology eye-tracking Tobii, which will allow the user to control their games without using the / keyboard. Games compatible with this software will be able to use its infrared sensor to aim weapons, navigate menus and move on maps, only looking at certain areas of the screen.

the Acer also unveiled its new Swift 7, which comes amazed by its extreme elegance and laptop world first to measure less than 1cm thick. In addition to its amazing thickness, Swift 7 weighs only 1.1kg and reportedly has a battery life up to 9 hours of use.

The new Swift 7 Acer has a full HD 13, 3-inch, aluminum body, Intel Core i5 processor 7th generation, 8GB RAM, internal memory 256GB SSD, two USB 3.1 ports, one USB-C port and webcam high definition.

As for its price and availability, the only official information the Predator 21 X is to come to the markets during the first quarter of 2017. the Swift 7 will be released as early as October this year with prices starting at € 1.299. Acer will also launch other variants of Swift 7 that will be more affordable and less powerful specifications. The Swift 5 (€ 749), Swift 3 (€ 499) and Swift 1 (€ 349).
