Ministry of Education ensures video surveillance in schools – TSF Online

System was shut down in November, but reactivated for 3 months. Term over the weekend and the Government had to make temporary appointment to keep schools safe.

The Ministry of Education wants to promote a multi-year contract to ensure the operation of the remote monitoring system and detection intrusion by video surveillance of schools.

the system in question raised controversy in November after school directors have been advised that they should turn off the intrusion systems, raising fears about possible assaults.

at the time, the government solved the problem with a three-month contract whose term ended last weekend.

Contacted by TSF, the Ministry of Education explains, however, that ” cautioned longer a temporary hiring of this service, which means that it is being provided, thus supplying the lack of this service would exist otherwise. “

at the same time, the Government has in progress a long contest deadline. The ministry argues that “we must ensure this service for a time frame to avoid future disruptions,” by which launched a public tender for the supply of video surveillance services to a multi-year term.
