fossil freshwater animal was found in the cliffs of a beach of Porto Barril in Mafra, by a citizen of Torres Vedras in 2011. This finding has recently been validated by the scientific community.
Adán Pérez-García and Francisco Ortega are responsible for the study of shell two feet of an adult turtle, whose age is 145 million years old, belonging to the period Jurassic.
