Suspended sentence for man who ran over pilgrims - The Ball

The man who ran a group of pilgrims in Warners, Póvoa do Lanhoso in 2012, killing a woman of 48, was sentenced to three years in jail, on probation.

The defendant, who had admitted the accident, explaining that crashed due to a hedgehog, was convicted of negligent homicide, failure to aid integrity and offenses.

The accident occurred in July 2012 when the pilgrims followed the Selho S. Jorge toward St. Benedict of the Open Door in Guimarães.Uma woman died and four people were left with injuries.
