After only four years of life, the EcoBoost 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, will be retired by Ford, from the beginning of next year, according to Automotive publication News. Typically, an engine has a life of 10 years, however the speed of advancement in technology requires a radical decision for the company. The current 2.0-liter EcoBoost, Edge launched in 2011, team models like the Fusion, Focus ST, Edge, Focus, Explorer, Taurus, and Lincoln MKZ MKC, in North America, Ford Falcon in Australia, and the Mondeo and S-Max, sold in Europe, which will be gradually replaced. The new EcoBoost , according to Ford, will deliver better fuel economy, four-wheel drive and will be more agile, but the power was not revealed.
