Google: Virtual Reality will come to Chrome – Tech & Net

Google has as one of its major objectives make all possible internet to explore through virtual reality and will initiate this task with your Google Chrome browser.

The latest beta version of the browser Google for Android includes support for WebVR, while the version for developers mentions a feature “VR Shell” in the near future will enable virtual reality devices to search any site even without using WebVR.

WebVR is a JavaScript API that helps in creating websites with support for virtual reality, but for the rest of the internet support for virtual reality is very rare. The new VR Shell that Google will implement in Chrome will make possible the operation of any website in a virtual space of 360 degrees, eliminating the need to remove your VR device whenever you enter a site that does not support WebVR.
