Applications to support the young leasing open in April – News Minute to

The first period of 2015 for applications for the program port 65, to support the young lease runs from April 17 and May 18, today announced the Institute for Housing and Urban Renewal (IHRU).

According to what the IHRU in a statement, applications start up by 10:00 on 17th April and will be open until 18:00 on 18 May for young people aged 18 years and 30 years.

In the last period, which took place between 15 December and 14 January, the number of applications increased by about 12% over the same period of 2013, recorded the IHRU.

A total of three periods last year for applications, “11,523 young people had their applications approved with grant”.

The support consists of assigning a percentage of the rental as monthly grant, and “benefit applications covering minors and persons with disabilities and who are in special locations.”

The Door 65 was released in 2007 but the government made changes in 2008 and soon after, in 2010 extending the age limit (can apply to up to 30 years and the support lasts three years) and allowing the inclusion of social benefits (maternity grants or scholarships) in the calculation of income.

Among those amendments, include the possibility of submitting a tax return relating to six months of work and not the past year, as originally planned, and just hand the lease of promise and not the final contract.

It was also agreed to increase the increase (from 10% to 20%) for rentals in historic urban areas, to encourage the occupation of these territories by young people, and introduced an increase of 10% in the case of households with dependents or disabled.
